US patent drafting and prosecution support
PRASA IP assists with preparation and review of provisional and non-provisional patent specifications, claim development, drawings review and responses to USPTO office actions. The work is structured to support collaboration with appropriately qualified US counsel where representation or jurisdiction-specific advice is required.
For office-action matters, we review the pending claims, specification, cited references, examiner’s mapping and prosecution history. The resulting work product may include proposed amendments, claim charts, technical distinctions, interview points and draft arguments for review by responsible US counsel.
European patent drafting support
European practice places particular importance on basis, clarity, technical effect and amendment support. Drafting support therefore considers terminology consistency, embodiment structure, fallback positions and the relationship between the independent claims, dependent claims and detailed description.
Examination support may include analysis of novelty and inventive-step objections, feature mapping, identification of basis for amendments and preparation of technical arguments for coordination with European patent counsel.
PCT applications and international strategy
A PCT application can preserve the option to pursue protection in multiple jurisdictions, but it does not itself produce a worldwide patent. We assist with application preparation, priority review, claim-set strategy, filing coordination and planning for national or regional phase entry.
India national-phase and foreign-filing support
Cross-border matters may require review of priority documents, foreign filing permissions, inventor and applicant details, sequence listings, drawings and jurisdiction-specific formalities. Our role is to maintain a clear record of instructions, deadlines and responsibility across the applicant, PRASA IP and relevant foreign associates.

Questions for cross-border patent teams
Does a PCT filing grant an international patent?
No. It offers a common initial route for seeking protection in designated states, followed by national or regional phase decisions. The filing plan should account for priority, disclosures, translations, budgets and target markets.
Who handles representation before the USPTO or EPO?
PRASA IP provides drafting, technical analysis and prosecution support. Where foreign law requires local representation, an appropriately qualified US or European professional handles that role. We agree responsibilities and review steps at the start of the matter.

Confidentiality and review
Patent work frequently involves commercially sensitive technical information. Engagement scope, transfer method, access and review responsibility should be agreed before substantive material is exchanged. Deliverables are reviewed against the supplied disclosure and the intended jurisdictional purpose.
